Brock is officially 1!

Well, we can now say we have a 1 yr old. We had a great time in Idaho celebrating Brock's first b-day w/ family. I would post pictures but Tyson has the camera... So pictures will have to wait. Brock is getting closer and closer to walking but I think he is partly being stubborn in that crawling is just so much faster. Thank you to everyone for the presents and time able to be spent w/ family although it went way too fast!!!

Brock found cubboards!

So a few days ago Brock discovered cubboards.... Needless to say tonight he found the pots and pans in the cubboard. Here is a cute clip of him playing.

Almost 1!

Well, I would say "where does the time go?" but I know the last year has been practically a blurr watching Brock grow up so fast! It truly is amazing how these little guys go from a helpless little person to a little one who knows what he wants and can now throw a fit about it! :) I wouldn't take back a second though, this past year has been one of the best in my life so far! I can truly say that being a mom is one of the hardest and most rewarding things in life! Brock is almost walking, but still very timid and too speedy at crawling to truly want to walk. He'll do it when he is ready! Here is a brief look at our summer, more pictures to come for fall.

Having fun in the buggy car!

Thanks to the doctor I work for cleaning out the garage, Brock has a whole load of new toys to play with. This is one of the toys that fits his age more right now, although he tried to let me play with the others. He absolutely loved it and didn't want to go back into the house! Just a brief clip of how big our little guy is getting!

Views of Brock changing over 10 months.

Summer Fun!

Playing with Uncle Chad.
Our cutie pie!!

Playing horse shoes at the beach of Lake Tahoe.

Discovering a Frisbee on the beach of Lake

Playing with cousin Luke.
Well this summer has been an eventful one and I can't believe that it is over, or almost over. I am not even ready to think about cold weather coming again. Brock is 10 months old tomorrow. At his last doctor appt he was 22 lbs 8 oz, 30 in long. He is pretty much a healthy happy boy crawling all over now and pulling himself up to standing position on everything. Tyson and I are just working away. We are thankful for our jobs and healthy family. We continue to pray for our family members who are looking for work and pray that they find work soon. More pictures will come as soon as I get a few more minutes than I have right now!

Time flies!!!

I don't know where to start besides I think I now know the true meaning of the saying "time flies." I didn't realize it has almost been 2 months since we have posted any pictures. Brock and I went to a family reunion on my mom's side in June. We spent the 4th of July in Idaho and have basically been working and trying to enjoy the summer the rest of the time. This last week we have gone up to Lake Tahoe a few times to enjoy the water while you actually can swim in it. Brock is now is crawling, thankfully he hasn't discovered that he can get all over the house yet :)!

Thankful for the rain!

We have had some crazy rain storms this past week, pretty unusual amounts of rain for what we have seen of Nevada so far. The picture of the rain is our street almost turned into a river, but I am thankful for the rain because it often brings rainbows, symbols of God's promises. I am so thankful that I can trust and have faith that God's plans are best for our life. We may not understand what is going on or why things are going the way they are in life, but God ultimately has control and I am so grateful to have an amazing God to trust in.

Grandma, Grandpa and Great Aunt Cindy come to Visit!!!

This month Grandma and Grandpa Harris came to visit us with Great Aunt Cindy. We had an enjoyable time- mom especially because she got to take a few extra naps!! We spent some time up at Lake Tahoe, Virgina City, and Reno. As you can see in the pics Grandpa and Daddy played some games in the Circus Circus kid zone and won enough tickets for 6 Hot Wheels cars and a stuffed dog for Brock. Mom and Dad played a horse race game and each won Brock a stuffed bear/dog- we're not quite sure what to call it even though they are cute. Needless to say he came out very spoiled, and we had fun in the process. Other than that this month has pretty much just been working for us.

We made it, I think!

I think we made it through Brock's first infection of some sort, what exactly was causing it we're not sure, but he seems to be doing better after two shots of Rocephin. He puzzled the doctor, which is frusterating as a mother to have them tell you, "We're not exactly sure what is causing the WBC of 33 and the fevers up to 103." The good thing is he has been fever free now for approx 24 hours, yeah! I pray he stays better! Daddy managed to catch a few cute pictures even though he wasn't feeling well.

Playing hide and seek!

So last night I was getting ready for bed and Tyson comes in and says "You have got to come look and see what your son is doing!" I went into the living room where I had left him playing and didn't see him, but I saw things moving. He had pulled the tummy time play mat up over him and you could just hear giggles and squeals of happiness coming from underneath. I quickly grabbed the camera to try to catch this moment and these are the looks he gave me as I asked him what he was doing. Priceless!

Just being cute!

Our little big boy!

6 mo old Dr. appt

So we have a big little boy. At 6 months old Brock now weighs 20 lbs 3 oz, and is 29 1/2 inches long. He fell to the 88th percentile for weight, but is in the 99th percentile for height. He has broken one tooth through and is working on another. Boy, I wish they came in faster. We'll make it through though. Otherwise things are going fairly well. I will get more pictures up when I have a little more time.

April Pics

I know the common theme I've written in almost every post is that I can't believe how fast time goes. Once again I find it nearly a month since I have posted anything. April has been a busy month with us going to Idaho for Easter and my birthday. Brock is learning more and more each day, especially how to work mom with different whines and cries. He is doing well, but mom sure wishes those darn teeth would just work through! We will just have to be patient. Otherwise things are still going pretty well overall! Another month flown by!

Random Encouragement

I was just listening to the radio and a song came on that totally just encouraged me. It said, "He will work it out, the devil WILL NOT be victorious." Through all the tough stages in life if we continue to trust and have faith that God's will is best, HE will be VICTORIOUS!!!!!!! I am thankful that I have full faith in GOD and I can lean on Him, His word, and His promises for us.

Look, I can roll!

Look where Brock started out and where he ended. He really took off with the rolling yesterday. He will often get frusterated with getting off his belly to his back, which I caught a picture of. As far as it goes for me, I spoke too soon yesterday and had to use my epi-pens and go to the ER again last night. I don't know exactly what I am to be learning from this, but I have been avoiding practically everything that I could possibly be alergic to. I just ask for your prayers that God would be with me and my family, and that I would be able to get in to the allergist soon to figure it out!

I can grab my feet! :)

Here are my happy boys. This week has gone fairly well. My doctor is refering me to an allergist in Reno to hopefully get my allergy problems figured out. Until then, I will just always have benadryl and the epi-pens on hand, and avoid nuts. I have been avoiding all my known allergens because I really don't want a 4th trip to the ER any time soon.
